Art in the Park Elk Grove Village Il 2018
As nosotros all look forrard to Spring's eventual inflow, after the season's storms and surprise snow, I find myself looking forward too to things that are shaping upward elsewhere.
Since mid-February, I have been working with Chris Zonta as an intern on her Visiting Artist Mosaic Landscape projection at Ebinger School in Park Ridge, IL. As an intern, I am learning all I can absorb about the process of making a mosaic mural. Chris is a fabled instructor, working in ceramic, porcelain and glass tiles. The spheres of her blueprint, The Ability of 1, are shaping up with the enthusiastic assist of Ebinger schoolhouse'south sixth through eighth graders.
We are quickly creating individual circular mosaics on primed hardboard using mastic to attach the diverse pieces in abstract and decorative designs. The finished work will be installed on an interior wall near the school office. Many thanks to the staff, parents and volunteers who have helped us to work collaboratively within the school customs to make this beautiful landscape. We may be completing and grouting seven or viii circles by the early part of June 2016, with installation to follow. For more than murals: Murals, Fake Finishes, Signs & Trompe D'oeil

The Life Force Arts Heart is currently hosting the The Creative Soul: Art & the Sentient Existence, a group showroom, ongoing through Apr 26th, 2016. My work, A Map of Life Lived, a work in gel pen on blackness artagain paper, depicts the passage of pregnant lines in the palm, and explores the differences between the right, or current palmistry and the left, or potential life palmistry. This piece of work also explores the markers that form based on action marking what are called the optics of the creative person, small diamond shaped linear creases that mark junctures of the fingers on the working manus. Within the left hand the potential is drawn with lines and also marked with the symbols of astrological arrangements upon the raised mounds of various planetary features described past palmistry. Gallery hours are every Tuesday and Thursday from i:30 to 6:30pm. At that place will be a closing reception on April 26th, from seven-9pm. I have also had piece of work accepted for the next exhibit: The Creative Soul: Art Play and Ritual, scheduled to open May 6th, 2016. More information near this bear witness to follow.
