Solitario, who refers to himself as a "classic realist", explores diverse subjects, including landscapes, portraits and still life paintings. As a mural painter, Solitario says he is almost inspired by cumulonimbus clouds, the Gulf Declension and the Mississippi River. He emphasizes the magnitude of the sky and clouds above minor slivers of land below. Billy Solitario's still life works honor the rainbow of colors found in the crabs, oysters, and crawfish native to the Gulf Coast. MISSY PIERCE

Missy Pierce creates multi-media art that explores the nature of identity. She often works between 2-D and 3-D forms to create paintings, mosaics, aggregation and artist books that accost themes of belonging and isolation with a particular focus on multicultural issues and the complexities of identity. Pierce is an artist in residence at The Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach, Florida. Her public art may be seen throughout South Florida. Working with the arts, civil rights, children and families has been her passion.
